I love how calmly they busted Kyoko out of jail and just casually walk away.
Then there’s this random explosion to make them look even more badass.

Prompt 2 - Change of Heart
-
Akira had first caught the Knights’ attention because Aoi broke her arm.
He hadn’t known that at the time, of course. He’d just been a concerned brother with a demanding job: the mob were generous with pay but not with compassionate leave. So he hacked into the hospital’s records and cameras, so he could see his sister’s progress while he worked.
He thought no one would notice: he was, after all, very good at his job.
But Den City’s hospital had two Knights in its employ, and Hanoi were vigilant in case any of their number were investigated. It was Revolver who spotted Akira’s path through the data, and how cleverly it was hidden. It was Faust who had observed the concerned brother, and saw the opportunity.

Thank you for sending the ask.
Our real-life respectable laws would love to keep people with their skills behind bars if they refused to cooperate with the authorities.
Vyra, Faust and Genome weren’t bad people. Even if they didn’t assist the professor, someone else would in their place. I also doubt their lives would still be intact if they had refused, since they knew about the Hanoi Project. Likely victims of Kogami Kiyoshi’s pretty words and by the time they were fully aware of the situation,

They had gotten too deep to pull themselves out.

And then there’s Ryoken.
What they did in season 1 was because of Ryoken.

If Ryoken would just reveal Playmaker’s true identity, the Tower wouldn’t have to be activated and things would have ended much better for the Knights of Hanoi.

So it’s like, the Three Knights wanted to protect Ryoken by using Another virus to lure Playmaker out,

Both online and real world.

They just couldn’t have anticipated how far Kogami Ryoken would go to protect Fujiki Yusaku. But in doing so Ryoken cornered himself into make things right for what they had done for him, by letting the Tower kill him along with Playmaker and Ai… if Playmaker disappointed him (which Yusaku obviously didn’t).
Ryoken wasn’t allowed to be in any hand of VRAINS’s authorities, who knows what kind of calamity they would reap from milking his brain. Also beware, don’t ever touch the Voice of Hope of that certain Emissary of Revenge. Best leaves the leader of Hanoi alone so the Hero of LINK VRAINS can have whatever future together he wanted with him. Haven’t you heard? A national cyberterrorist organization got singlehandedly demolished for crossing him.
Also, the authorities in VRAINS-verse proved to be ineffective. I dare not placing my safety in the hands of those who can be bought and silenced by money, so I’ll trust these people to watch over the network because they want to, not because someone is paying them to do their job. But does that mean Ryoken has to feed them because they can’t move away from the computers? Luckily he’s filthy rich.

REBLOG this if you guys are okay with doing Christmas themed threads AFTER Christmas!
The holidays can be a very stressful time for people - so it’s hard for them to sit down and write about Christmas in RP when they are stressing over it in REAL LIFE. So, just a little reminder that some people still want Christmas threads AFTER Christmas.
always
